Couple weeks ago we went to the movies and saw brad Pitt in World War Z. I thought I was going to die of boredom. |
Phew. Glad ya out made it out alive. |
Not crazy at all. I'm so sorry you lost your son, PP. It seems entirely natural to want to leave with him. |
Considering the tenor of this thread, you are not funny. |
Do you remember wondering what would your mom do when she saw your lifeless body sunk in the bottom of the pool?
Yeah I guess not. You know why? Because this is not what a 3-4yo thinks about when they're dying.

Kill you? Why? |
I can not imagine ![]() |
I don't know. He was a total stranger who broke into our house. His intentions still aren't clear to me. |
I hear you!!! |
Went winter camping. The guy driving the SUV up the ridge on the VA/WVA line couldn't get up. Gunned it. didn't make it. the car started sliding backwards down the mountain. Thank god we hit a tree and did not keep sliding. I still think of my mother's voice telling me what an ass I was for doing that, inside my head.
Bad case of whiplash. |
- Hit by a car last summer, hit and run. I was crossing the street and next thing I know an SUV is mowing me down in the crosswalk. The driver was texting. There was some divine force that stopped the car on a dime so I could still be here to tell the tale. As soon as I got up the woman took off and ran at least 2 stoplights to get away. Really hoping she didn't hurt anyone else. I had the thought of "my mom is going to devastated when she hears I'm dead" but I was 34 when this happened.
- I too had a severe kidney infection for a while before I knew what it was. Terrible. Don't wish that on my worst enemy. - so many nights in cars with impaired drivers. Tours with my band and the overnight post-show drives that that entails. We try to laugh about it now but it's not really funny. - I also choked once and nearly drowned once but both were addressed before I turned blue/really started to panic. I ran to a bathroom and dislodged the food from my throat myself and with the near-drowning a friend was nearby and dragged me to shore. |
Wow. This didn't happen to me, but a friend. We were on a school trip and in the ocean and the sand started to shift under our feet. My much shorter (and asthmatic) friend got into trouble. He was clearly drowning and I had to help him get safe, while he spluttered and tried to push down on my head to get air. I'm not sure how I did it, but we got out of the ocean somehow, and moments later the "no swimming" flag went up. We told our teachers. They just dismissed it and clearly didn't believe how serious it had been. |
PP who saved friend from drowning here, if you were really drowning there would be no screaming. You can't scream while you drown. It's very quiet. |
How old are you? They were imprisoned in the 60s until they both died. |
18 months old when I was bit by a mosquito in the Adirondacks and contracted encephalitis. I was in a coma for 21 days. Just woke up one day... jury is still out on whether I have brain damage ![]() Age 35 was in Thailand at a market on train tracks. Train would come and everyone just stepped back. As train was coming this lady on my tour was drunk, she stumbled and knocked me forward as she moved to get out of the way. The train was close and someone or something yanked me back as the train whirred by... definately had a guardian angel there! I seriously hate people with no situational awareness. |
