I am getting a tenant for my basement which I hope will bring in an extra $800/ mo.

Care.com for sitting sounds great. I will look into that. I wonder if foster care respit pays?

Amazon is a channel on the roku box. Buy an HD one its worth it. There's no monthly fee for the roku and there's other free movie channels

Actually if you have an older tv you might not be able to use the HD roku, maybe just regular. Mine connects to my wireless Internet from cox that's 39/month

Forget trader joes if you want to save on groceries. We only shop for Groceries at Walmart. Oddly, they recently raised the price on milk, so we get it at costco or giant, but otherwise the Walmart generic brand prices are extremely low.

Really? They have milk for $2.99, cream for $1.29, ground beef for under $3, bananas 19 cents/lb, frozen veggies for about $1.25. Everything is super cheap there except for their other meats like chicken, steak, and fish. Their prepared foods are cheaper than eating out though.

Bananas are .19 each, not per lb at T.Joes.

I guess you got a better deal.

Amazon can be used to stream on an iPad via an app or on your tv. To use it on your tv, you need to hook up your wifi modem to your tv so the intent streams through the tv and you need a converter box, for me we use the blue ray. I actually set it up myself, it took about an hour for me to read directions then figure it out but so worth it. I also watch netflix and YouTube this way on the tv.

If you need a new tv, you might want to consider a neighborhood listserv. I live in NOVA, and tons of people belong to Oldtownmoms yahoo group, even those that don't live in Old Town. People are always offloading, for free, tvs, furniture, kids items, clothing, etc. You could also try your local free cycle. I have given tons of stuff away on both.

My daughter watches PBS exclusively. Can we get this with antennae only? I have internet. I also have amazon prime but don't know how to use it yet. Cell phone is AT&T pay each month plan for $50. No home phone but may need one to set up alarm. Bought house in 2006 but bought new (used) car last month because I was without one for two years but now need one. Its a 2008 with 92,000 miles on it. Owe about $11,000 on it. I live in silver spring. I thought about babysitting but wasn't sure how to find clients plus it would have to be in my house bc I have my own child. Pet sitting is a good idea bc my DC would love a pet but again, how to find clients?

I have posted this else where people have asked for money advice as I believe it applies to most women:
1. Are you a still hot?
2. Can you work a pole?

1. Yes -> hooker or look for a sugar daddy
2. Yes to 1 and 2 -> stripper

PBS is HD free over antenna. Amazon prime video works on a Playstation 3 or PC, you need internet and Amazon Prime service (I have PS3 and a PC with prime). Xbox 360 will require to buy xbox live sub. Don't know about Wii though.

Learn the tricks of couponing. I did it when I was broke, got hundreds worth of stuff for pennies on the dollar. Its very time consuming though.
