| What is sis? |
well last year it was 66% Asian, and there has been talk that the school was trying to broaden it out a bit to include other groups, so it would be interesting to see how they fared in this effort. |

Which is a 400% enrichment in this area. Test scores shouldn't be weighted so heavily. |
31M is gonna give your daughter problem. My asian DD got 49m & 49v two years ago and she struggling to keep up with the work load..she has to work hard to maintain 4.0+ gpa... |
| DS 47m & 37v. Asian, wait listed. |
| DS 47M 47V accepted |
| Another DS nonAsian 47m 47v accepted. |

Big accomplishment to get accepted to TJ. The bigger challenge will start this September and to stay in TJ for the next four years and keep up with 4+ GPA. In TJ, B means F.
|
Test scores don't translate to how a student performs in the classroom |
| Wasn't this last year's thread? |
Understood...she also got straight A's thru middle school at one of the large AAP center |
| In TJ worse than B gets you kicked out. B is just a B. But 80 of the 480 will drop out. |
| You can call and find out where your child is on wait list. Top 1/3 usually gets in, middle 50-50, bottom 1/3 not likely. But your child can reapply next year. There rank remains. 20 ish kids per year drop out. |

Really you can not get a B?
