RAINN website stats:
1 in 6 women in the USA are sexually assaulted. 97% never see one day of jail time. Every 2 minutes someone in America is sexually assaulted. 44% of victims are under the age of 18. 1 male in a group of 33 will try to or complete a sexual assault. I wish this website could be moved to political instead of off-topic since it involves violence against women and people's concern whether or not justice can be served. It is too bad it is getting buried. The next Anonymous protest will take place Feb. 2nd at 12:00 pm in Steubenville. |

Anonymous is a modern-day super hero movement. They have done more for Jane Doe than an entire region did for her. How many Jane Does are out there? 1 in 6. 44% of sexual assaults go unpunished according to RAINN. 97% will not see one day of jail time. Cong. McKeon, R-CA, Chair and Ranking Member Smith, D-WA of the Armed Services Committee are holding a committee hearing about the conflict in the Eastern DRC. 5 million wounded, killed and raped. The confluence of a rogue government, terrorism, warlords, M-23 etc. has resulted in an urgent situation. What is my point? How can the world look to us how to protect human rights when this stuff is happening in our backyard? The facts proven by Anonymous and Anonymous only have resulted in even more questions. There are fake Twitter accounts in his name, as well as fake Facebook accounts. They are set up to read as if coming from his voice, talking about all the reprehensible things he and the others did. I'm sure the real accounts have been removed. |

I'm sorry to say that it doesn't surprise me at all. Jerry Sandusky's victims also received death threats. Between this case, Penn State, the many other cases of wrongdoing by players-- especially against women, the steroid use, and sport's lame response to emerging research on head injuries, I'm done with football. |

I have not been following this very closely, but just heard that the accused are using the defense of "implied consent" because she willingly went somewhere with these guys and drank.
W T F ? How is "implied consent" even a thing? So if I take clients out for dinner to convince them to sign up with my business, I am giving them permission to rape me? |
