Lol, this is a good one. I am not usually a snarky poster, but I can't bear not to chime in here and gently point out that being a lawyer ain't really all that. When my graduate program was getting tough I thought about dropping out to go to law school cause it would be soooo much easier. I stuck it out and have a Phd in a hard science, not interested in sharing any more details and sure as sh!t don't walk around like I'm the only one with a brain.

If you're not a lawyer, how would you know, and why would you care? You sound like you have an inferiority complex despite your phd in "hard science."

Ergo, reason for a need for a phd in hard science. How else to show others you are superior to them and how smart you are?

I have seen this poster's abrasive, obnoxious comments before! This is not the first time she has badmouthed lawyers, always weirdly qualifying that she has a PhD in "hard science." There's definitely some backstory here, could not get into law school perhaps? Jealous of lawyers for reasons unknown?

Did the JD make you feel complete? There are some people who need to have all the ABCs, BS, MS, PhD, MD, MBA and JD to feel complete. And yet, it's still not enough.

Okay, just a few clarifications. First, you all realize that "hard science" is an actual term; "hard" is not being used as an adjective to mean difficult science. Second, I don't really hate all lawyers; I just find the incessant braggadocio on this site a little tiresome. Let's chalk that up to an artifact of DCUM. Given those two things, I'm pretty sure christening pp has me confused with some other legitimately smart person . Third, I don't even consider myself all that smart; yes I do research, no I'm not going to share any further details. Got a busy Saturday, catch you all on the flip side!
