The Profile of the Smart and arrogant DCUM'er

I really believe a lot of the snark comes from boredom and perhaps frustration surrounding subjects we don't get to discuss in real life (or subjects we feel we can't be honest about in real life). So much of DC is reputation focused that it isn't surprising that people who may be guarded in their everyday lives would want to cut loose a little behind an anonymous board.

Executive Assistant
UMD-CP
2.75 (out of nothing but sheer laziness)

I love to have a great intellectual debate. Once, someone here accused me of being a lawyer. Not sure if that was a compliment or an insult...I'm going with compliment.

Not to detract but why shouldn't there be an apostrophe for "DCUM'er"? And why would 'arrogant' need to be capitalized?

Because it would be DC Urban Mommer, so no apostrophe and it's a title, so you capitalize adjectives.

Capitialization in Titles
Always capitalize the first and the last word.
Capitalize all nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, and subordinate conjunctions ("as", "because", "although").
Lowercase all articles, coordinate conjunctions ("and", "or", "nor"), and prepositions regardless of length, when they are other than the first or last word. (Note: NIVA prefers to capitalize prepositions of five characters or more ("after", "among", "between").)
Lowercase the "to" in an infinitive

Scientist for Feds.
Master's Degree in Science- State Univ. 3.9 GPA
Me- $150k/year. (WAH)

Neither DH or I are lawyers--yet on DCUM you would think that is the 'be all or end all' career and the only $-maker.
