Based on your example, some of the employees would have done something. But keep excusing their horrific behavior that could have saved Jayna, with just one phone call from their secured store.

TF are you talking about. The Bystander Effect is real. I will NEVER excuse anything about this case- Jayna was a friend of a friend. I can't forgive those cowards.

But talking about the Bystander Effect can raise awareness and hopefully people will overcome their first instincts and raise an alarm.

The bystander effect may be real, but basically everything that everyone thinks they know about the Kitty Genovese case is wrong.
