My son's name is Bishop. He loves his name and we get compliments on it all the time. His father picked his name bc it's his favorite chess piece.

Isn't this thread from July 2011? Little Bishop is probably potty trained by now!

My 13 year old grandson is named Bishop...... Our family is Catholic ...... It is NOT a family name but DIL named him .......grandson hates the name...... He is teased at his Catholic school and has said that when he is 18 will have it legally changed......he is a good boy but the name has been difficult for him.......I was also teased for my name as a child so I am concerned........

Thank you. That's the best laugh I've had all day.

I don't think you should name your child this.

Most especially w/all the young boys who have been molested in the Catholic Church recently.

It would have too much of a stigma.

How in the world did this get revived again? This thread is from almost 3 years ago!

LOL, I thought I was the only one who thought of 'Juice'. Also, I think of the robot from Aliens. I actually think it's an ok name.

It's also slang for penis.

Is it really? That's awesome. I can't wait to use that.

It's classic, simple to spell, interesting and uncommon.

Are people still religious these days? Geesh That doesn't mean squat to anyone born after the 1980s anyhow.

You sound very simple.

It can't be both classic and uncommon.

Oh, your kid....
