OK, but are you also fully fluent in your native language, to the point that you can write, read, and speak like a native speaker now? Many people who moved here at a young age consider themselves fluent in their first language, but never really learned to read or write in their first language. So, you tested well in English, but how would you do in your mother tounge? What YY is trying to do is make you fully literate in both languages; a much tougher proposition.

Also, don't forget that if your sibling got in, you move up the list considerably, but still below other siblings on the wait list.

Weird--yesterday the 2nd grade waitlist had 5 kids and today it has 11.

There are 6 new names on the bottom, presumably kids who applied after the deadline for the lottery. For the other grades, I'd guess that they are so far from the bottom of the lists, that they haven't bothered adding on the late applicants.
