Do they breakdown the scores by race, FARMS, etc.? Curious.

Race, yes, although a minimum of ten kids must be tested from each race/ethnic group before the data for that group is displayed. I'm guessing to protect students' privacy. FARM data is taken, but I don't believe they breakdown those kids' scores.

Which ones are you talking about? My understanding is that while Stokes isn't great, it's still better than similar demographic kids at any other schools.

FARM data is reported in the test score data. It's all on the OSSE website. In DC, public schools that do a great job educating non FARM kids (of any race) typically struggle at educating kids that are economically disadadvantaged.

You will not see a FARMS break down on the DCCAS for this year's third graders, because most of the kids are not FARM kids. Actually I don't think there are any FARM children in the third grade. I am so tired of hearing people talk about the they third grade class. Yes, there are many AA children in that grade and most of their parents are professionals. Most of the children also come from homes with two parents and the ones that don't parents are professionals.

Stokes scores are not great.

Stokes scores aren't great for students on a free/reduced price lunch. The reading scores for non economically disadvantaged kids are great and they are pretty good for math.

Same old, same old. Poverty makes things harder.

There will be more. Was not impressed with the tour and the presentation. If we did not want Chinese, we would go elsewhere but willing to risk it for preK.

Please go now - you're hardly an asset. Let's not waste each other's time, shall we?
