Suspected lottery scammer

If you see Maryland tags consistently discharging a child into your JKLM school, take a cell phone picture, print it and send copies to the principal and chancellor. Just do it. I would.

I work at DCPS and wanted to clarify regarding this topic. When a family submits a letter of intent to a school to claim a seat offered through the lottery or from a waitlist, the school registrar verifies the sibling preference if the child received one. If a sibling preference was claimed incorrectly (either by accident or on purpose) the child will not be allowed to take the seat and will instead be moved to the bottom of the waitlist in their category. In the particular instance raised, we will ask the schools to ensure that they are vigilant in confirming this.

Hooray! And this is really all anyone wanted. (Well, except the one or two morally crippled individuals who can't seem to grasp why anyone would be bothered by fraud, theft, or any other toxic behavior).

I was not asked to cofirm my in-boundary address when I dropped off the letters of intent for my twins at their in-boundary school this week.

In-boundary status is confirmed using GIS address mapping during the lottery application process but sibling status must be confirmed directly by schools.

But what about if I'd lied about my address?

When you provide proof of residency during enrollment, this will be verified.

You will have to provide proof of residence WHEN you register..not your intent to send your child(ren).

Oh man, I'd love to believe this verification happens. But this is DC folks.

Funny how parents from impossible-to-get-into ES's like Key, Mann, Oyster etc... where parents will rat you out because of competition are all "okay" with same parents sneaking into Deal OOB under false addresses. NO ONE verifies at Deal. I'm not complaining about kids who come from across town where they have no decent options (shame on Rhee after all this time), I'm complaining about the well-to-do who just cheat, make up addresses and grab coveted spots as if it's their right because they pay DC taxes. How is it right to lie? How do you explain the example to your kids? It would be different if there were much room at Deal, but there's not.

I had to provide proof of my address at my DD's JKLM this past fall. Also, they would not even take the short form birth certificate (looks like a social security card), I had to order a new one because I had misplaced the long form one.

Because so many of you are such money-grubbing ugly whores who demand - in the name of righteousness! and fairness! - that you're over-privileged spawn should be allowed to have a better PUBLIC education than someone who doesn't have as much money as you do. And I want you to know that I just won't help make that easy for you. If you really want the privileges you feel so entitled to, pay for private school. Otherwise, don't be surprised that some people find you disgusting.

Nice. Yes, after all, why didn't Rhee make everything in life perfect "after all this time." She had nearly four years.

Pathetic.

Amoral dirt-balls will always find some rational behavior for their anti-social behavior. You remind me of the person who wrote on the local mailing list in support of some poor teens who broke the jaw of a middle-class kid while stealing his iPod. After all, why should that kid have an iPod anyway? His parents should've thought of that before they bought him anything nice.
