I agree with this, although from the few bites I've had it does not taste bad at all. It's the psychological hurdle for me.

Normally, I can eat everything, all ethnicities up to and including haggis, but...

Grass jelly from asia. It was like eating the lawn clippings, after a gas mower had run over them.

How do you know?

I've heard that some people have a genetic fluke whereby cilantro tastes like soap. Seriously.

It's not strictly a food, but iced tea. I think it's the most disgusting drink ever invented. The first, and only, time I tried it I gagged. As you can guess I was raised in another country. Apart from that I eat and drink almost anything.

Pork
Most shellfish - crab, mussels, oysters, lobster
Organ meats (and I include foie gras in that)

Yep, I have that. I've read that it's an indicator of an allergy. If you just have the nasty taste, it's a very mild allergy. I have the soap taste, plus difficulty breathing. Nothing life-threatening; I don't carry an epi pen. But it's somewhat painful and makes me wheezy for a half hour or so.

So, yeah, I don't eat cilantro.

Can you eat our fast foods? I've heard many times that people who don't grow up here don't like our fast foods.

Also, a propos of the soapy taste to cilantro, some people find all broccoli to be unbearably bitter. I love the stuff. Can't imagine that.

This is reminding me that I also don't eat creamed spinach (the Indian dish with the cheese cubes grosses me out) or cream of wheat.

Indian food - somebody told me that Indians don't use toilet paper and use their right hand to wipe. That is why they only eat with their left hand.

That has grossed me out just thinking about Indian kitchen staff.
