Umm yes. We just paid $680k for a home just down the street from JLG. There are several others as well. |
The "best" posts from team McDuffie have been deleted by the moderator. There are some truly gross people who post on here. |
I’ve wondered this again and again about various (or maybe the same) posters on this forum. I’ve never come to a firm conclusion, although there is one person who often comments on bike / transportation issues who seems to suffer from dementia given their constant repetition of debunked nonsense. |

I didn’t vote for JLG, but this line of argument seems silly. Buying a house in a residential zone doesn’t mean you’re endorsing that zoning as a concept. And it’s not hypocritical to live in a SFH but want it to be possible for there to be other housing nearby. I live in a SFH but refuse to sign the many petitions my neighbors are circulating that would prevent apartments from being built on my block, because I’m fine with apartments being built on my block.
Her platform isn’t calling to ban single family housing, it’s calling to ban zoning that ONLY allows single family housing. |
DP. Speaking of absolute morons... no one is saying that single family homes won't be allowed if JLG wins. Not even sure where you got that strawman, but bravo - it's a doozy. Your entire post is a beautiful example of the gaslighting we've all come to expect from the left. People are (rightfully) angry because JLG said in her Op-Ed: “Exclusionary zoning preserves segregation and exacerbates displacement.” She then to buy her home in a neighborhood that - wait for it - is single-family zoned. She could easily have bought a place in a mixed-use / non-exclusionary zoned area so as to, you know, walk the walk, but she chose not to. It is indeed a very simple concept that you seem determined to spin into something completely false all the while pretending what she's being called out on is "propaganda." She's a hypocrite and you are too. News at 11. |
My god, utter lunatics. |
Yes, we know. There would be no issue whatsoever with her living wherever she wanted to if she hadn't made her entire campaign about single-family zoned neighborhoods being a tool of "segregation." Get it? |
If you wrote that thoroughly ridiculous comment with a straight face, I feel sorry for you. |

Please ask ChatGPT to explain like you have the IQ of a 5-year-old. Humans apparently aren't talented enough to translate from English to stupid. |
Here are the facts put simply: The Price: A $1 million house in DC is not a rich person's mansion. That is just the normal price for a basic house in the city. The Location: The paper says it is "near the White House" to make it sound fancy. Five miles away is the outer edge of the city. It is a regular neighborhood. The Rules: Being against "single-family zoning" does not mean being against houses. It means thinking the government should stop blocking people from building townhouses or duplexes on their own land. Buying a house does not mean supporting the government ban on other types of homes |
