Polls were done in late '25 about a hypothetical matchhup between Hogan and Moore but that's about it.

Hale would actually be a formidable opponent to Moore but you're right, Maryland Republicans will likely shoot themselves in the foot again by choosing the Cox idiot. Moore's slipping approval rating and ties to super PACs make him very vulnerable but not if his opponent is a MAGA bootlicker.

Trump endorsed Pam Evette in the primary, she came in second and was polling below the guy he didn’t endorse in the runoff, so now he has endorsed both of them.

DP. Have to disagree, even with all that, this is just a bad year for the GOP brand. Hale has little name ID, is a former D, which will turn off some MAGA Repubs. He stated he agrees with the Trump agenda and that almost certainly will not fly in this State. MD's best bet was Hogan, who likely realized the same thing. If Hogan couuldn't beat Alsobrooks in a Republican year (2024), there's no way Hale is beating Moore in a Democratic, wave year.
