Californian here. I don’t think this is true any more. (Unfortunate, in my view, so you know where I am politically, but I want to be realistic.) The repudiation of the far left yesterday was significant. It is hard to express just how exhausted most Californians are with the far left, and some of those folks are going to turn to Republicans. It’s just not the social death knell it was a few years ago. Obviously anecdotal but I am in a very blue county in a very blue city in CA and I know Democrats who voted for Hilton and are open about it. That would have been inconceivable 5-10 years ago. It’s possible Steyer will catch Hilton with late vote counts, but even if he does, the messaging should be clear: a lot of Democrats voted for a Republican. |
| Looks like Steyer has overtaken Hilton in the CA Governor's race.https://results.lavote.gov/#year=2026&election=4338 |

Duggan is now out of the race. Benson and James are awful. Benson will do nothing to reduce the state budget. James is a windbag and member of an awful Congress. |
not quite! |
Hard disagree. Republicans can't be trusted. Their brand is shot. That said, the Democrat brand is also shot. The left and the right both need to start over. |
No? |

I mean, Tommy Tuberville lives in Florida and yet, is the senator from Alabama.
