| Figured we could use a megathread for the various Governor elections taking place this fall across the country. |
|
Some interesting races to watch:
Iowa where Democratic state auditor Rob Sanders is leading GOP Rep. Randy Feenstra Florida where some polling has GOP Rep. Byron Donalds tied with David Jolly, a former R running as a Democrat Ohio where Vivek Ramaswamy and Amy Acton are close California - last I saw Xavier Becerra has taken the overall lead among Democrats - primary in June Cook rates all of the seven presidential swing states from 2024 are as tossups — Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin — except for Shapiro in Pennsylvania who is expected to win going away and North Carolina which doesn't elect its governor this year. |
| Michigan may see James (R) win thanks to Mike Duggan (I) taking votes away from Benson (D) |
| John James is an opportunist. He's only a Republican because it's the fastest way into power as opposed to being a Democrat, a lot of black Republicans take this approach |
| Tom Steyer is leading all candidates in California |
Please don't make me sick. James is my congressman and I cannot stand him. A total phony. Thanks Duggan! |
John James ads: 1. I went to West Point 2. I flew an Apache 3. I work out Unless you are a MAGA, own the libs die hard, how anyone can vote for him is beyond me. He would love to give DeVos a tax cut and curtail women's reproductive rights. |
Made his money in the prison industrial complex.
|
Not gonna happen. Michigan will elect a Dem. |
| Uhhohh...Dems are in trouble in... Massachusetts |
...what? |
| Do you mean Rhode Island? McKee is set to lose renomination |
| “Vivek Ramaswamy’s Republican primary opponent Casey Putsch surprisingly endorsed the Democratic nominee for OH Gov Amy Acton after losing the primary to Vivek last week: “She is garbage. But I’d rather have a pile of garbage than the hell that is Vivek.” |
