And then just restates all of the ways MCPS communicated about the Boundary Study as a defense that the process was rushed.

This ignores that the part people are calling rushed is the release of Option H.

That’s exactly how it works. Pro forma is not substantive process, though that’s what the BOE will claim to justify its actions.

This was completely expected and the strongest argument they have - which isn’t much.

Engagement isn’t just counting meetings—it’s whether people had a real opportunity to understand, analyze, and impact the outcome.

This is what the state BOE and a court will consider.

lol. That's not how this works.

It's not like any of this was new. They've been talking about this for months. Of course they already knew how they were going to vote.

Actions have consequences: not a one of them will be re-electe

Which one of them has asked for a racial equity analysis of the program model? Nobody has done that yet or even uttered the word "race" yet they keep screeching equity

They were unanimous in amending the resolution to include accountability. It was vague. Wish it it pulled directly from OLO Report 2026-2 but it’s something!

To all you Richie riches that complained about my kid going to school with yours, get ready!!! We remember your names and faces.

The sad part is they don't even want the students whose parent make more than they do as they look down on zipcodes. So, now Whitman will get DCC kids... that's going to be interesting.

I’m surprised at Karla.

I'm surprised Julie stood up and voted no. Karla needs to go. She's ruining MCPS.

There is no accountability in having MCPS report on its own performance. Accountability would come from an entity other than MCPS doing the evaluation.

Wow, which BOE member mentioned racism with a chuckle after Yang’s vote against was applauded. That’s rich after the nonstop tone policing earlier in the meeting.

They pass it all. No objections except Yang.

Oh that's right, they're also going to approve the countywide boundary study today before they even move to discussing the virtual learning plan. Packed agenda...

Julie had to vote no if she wanted to stay competitive in her Council race. Her Asian community would never have forgiven her.

Oh please. They coordinated her “objection.”
