I think many married people and single men don't realize that single wealthy women are actually one of the happiest subsection of dating market. My life is totally fine - skiing trips, tennis, socializing with friends and family. If I meet someone I'm truly attracted to and who is capable of being integrated into my life without any major disruption, great. But I will not risk my balance by engaging in useless romantic endeavors that would waste my time, money or agency. I enjoying being free and single. At times I venture out with an interesting man and it's okay that it doesn't happen often.
I am not attracted to most men. |
This applies to middle class single women as well. |

OP I think wanting a multimillionaire when you're not looking to combine net worths through marriage is a waste of time and cutting out tons of eligible men.
Look at the minimum salary required to pay for the dates and experiences you'd like to have with a man, and go from there. He doesn't need to make anything close to what you make as long as he's the one paying for the activities and not using you financially. Do you like Michelin dining and international travel? Then you'd only need someone making 300k a year. Are you content with cute domestic trips and renting a cabin on Airbnb? That can be doable on 150k a year. The main things to look for are any crazy alimony, child support, or tuition obligations as opposed to a strict salary cap. |
BS...unless that person wants to be a purse for a yonger women... |
As a woman who dates other women, I confirm that younger women are all about status, what you can give them, the size of your bank account, brands you wear, business class tickets etc. I don't see why it would be any different for men dating women then it is for me. It's not like men on average are more attractive than women. There are in fact way more hot gay and bisexual women than attractive men in the age group of 40-50s |
It applies to men, too. It is a completely vapid statement. Yes, single people can do what they want without regard for others. |
Seriously tone deaf It’s amazing how little self awareness there is in this post. |
Nope, men are testosterone dependent. They are higher drive on average and usually less choosy with women than other way around. Men tend to jump into pointless damaging relationships more often. They also remarry under pressure to get access to sex, and hurt interests of their own children more often. A well-off woman won't do that. |
In mid 59's, why bother? Enjoy life. |

What if income is good but paying for kid's private schools and colleges , ex's alimony and has high mortgage on family home?
What if shares 50/50 custody of three kids under 15? |
Million a year |
DP. And women usually have plenty of fulfilling relationships outside of marriage with friends and family. Men usually do not have that many, so they quickly jump into the next romantic relationship. |
You don't even mention age and appearance. Must the man be several inches taller? Rich men in their fifties and early sixties often date younger women. The girlfriends of Elon Musk, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio have been in their twenties and early thirties. In their seventies, designer Roberto Cavalli and Formula 1 Principal Flavio Briatore had girlfriends in their twenties. Google their photos to see these girlfriends were not size 14. Now please entertain us with all the marriage proposals you have declined lately. |
Yeah because women in their twenties and thirties are looking at men in their 50s and 60s who make 250k with a 5M BW. /s That is not rich. |

My exH is rich he’s 59. Over $50m NW lives in a multi million mansion. He’s in good shape but bold and ugly face. The best he could do was rather mid looking early 40s divorced mom with 2 kids.
Wealth appeal is rather limited if the man lacks in charter or looks later in life. Even billionaires aren’t all marrying super models young chicks. Bezos, Musk, Larry Ellison, Baldwin, Belchik are all with ugly or “middle of the pack” looking women. Rich men can buy really pretty escort services but as we read in Epstein files all these young women also sleep with other men in parallel, and eventually find younger partners. |
