495 south stabber

Maybe his dog caused him to hit the car?

Probably not, but it makes about as much sense as anything. Sad for those killed and injured.

Pictures and some account on Reddit said he was using a big chefs knife. Not something you just randomly have in your car.

I’m about to start carrying one in my car if this is what psychos are doing on the Beltway. I don’t have a gun and don’t have any training in gun handling, but I got tons of knives and plenty of skill with those. Not necessarily the dice 10 onions in 2 minutes skill but enough to defend myself from a road raging psychopath.

Machetes are popular since you can easily explain why you might have one.

I took a handgun class recently and plan to start carrying. You come for me or my dog and you'll be dealt with.

He's garbage!!! Who stabs a dog. At least we don't have to pay for his trial and imprisonment.

We know who he is now.
But we don’t know why he did it or exactly how the events unfolded.

NP. Articles aren’t even clear on which car hit the other, whether they think it was intentional, and whether the victims were known to him. Surely they have some of this info by now?

I saw a segment on NBC4 that stated the news had gotten in touch with relatives of the stabber (who said they were shocked that he did this, that there were no indications to them he was like this) and the mother of one of the victims who is still in the hospital and both had been told they were told by police not to discuss the details of the case with anyone. So that was all they could report.

I saw on subreddit that the 4 women victims know each other.

I don’t really get the secrecy when the murderer is already dead. It’s not like they’re building a case against him to use in court, right?

I have read on subreddit from posters who claimed to be eye witnesses that the red car was the car that instigated the accident and rammed into another car. Posters said the red car was speeding down 495, driving recklessly as if chasing the other car and then seemed to intentionally rear end the car it seemed to be chasing (poster said it seemed to be going 70mph because they were going less than that and the red car speed past them). Posters also said the red car was driven by a man with a dog.

What's the explanation for driving and/or walking around with a machete. I have two for home safety, but I don't know. Help me understand the easily explainable reason for drive/walk around use.
