She an opinionated BLACK woman in politics in a world that doesn't like black women, let alone black women with opinions who do not cower.

Does she identify as Black? Serious question. Americans tend to think the world reflects our divisions. Somalis may not see themselves as Black.

In this case, what she identifies as is less of a factor than what others identify her as. The question is why do people hate her so much.

Most don't see her as Black. She's Muslim, East African, Somali, an immigrant, a woman, very loud and complaining, and adjacent to fraudulent activities all while beating up on American systems and policies.

To activity support her, you'd need to either be Somali or liberal who supports her because of her background.

So what you are saying is it is ok to be white, very loud and complaining, adjacent to fraudulent activities (even participate in them and pardon people who commit them), and beat up on American systems and policies, while married to a white immigrant. See - oue POTUS

So basically by your own comment, it's just the misogyny, racism, and xenophobia that makes one on and one not ok.

DP

Forgot to mention, a man. You can be loud and complaining and fraud adjacent and beat up American systems and policies if you are a white male (not even a Christian one, honestly)

2/3's of Congress should be kicked out given their principal allegiance is to Israel.

It's way higher than that. Some are even dual citizens or served in the IDF.

She never said she hates it here or hates America.

Okay, let me be clearer. She's visibly non-white, and white people don't like it when visibly non-white people have opinions they don't like and the confidence to challenge them.

Here's a crazy idea that is going to blow your mind - it is possible to dislike the same two groups at the same time. One can hate Ilhan because she is all those things and also hate Trump because he is all those things.

But because this thread is about Ilhan, people are giving their opinions as to why they don't like her. Just like in a Trump thread, people will give their opinions on why they don't like him but leave out their criticisms of Ilhan.

MAGA and RW media has had an extremely successful smear campaign on Omar. She’s progressive and a Black immigrant, which no conservative respects or even tolerates.

It's fine to have your opinion, but the only thing that matters is what her constituents think.

So let's start with eliminating St. Patrick's Day and all the Italian festivals across the country. Celebrating other countries doesn't seem to grateful, patriotic or assimilating to me.

How does one menber of Congress "eliminate" St. Patrick's Day? Where? And what control doe she have over Italian festivals, or any other festival for that matter?

To some people, if you're not 100% MAGA, then you hate America. It's very binary.

Weird response. We were talking about Omar. Change out her country of origin and I promise you, people still won't like her.

I watch her and think she's barely holding it together.

You sound like a simpleton. You're engaging in the same type of thinking that you accuse another racial group of.
