The amount of disagreement about ICE points to the fact that there are a number of people who support immigration law enforcement.
The ones not showing up at protests and following them around are those in tacit agreement. And it seems there are many in tacit agreement with ICE.
The Democratic party machine really needs to have a strategy.

2) it’s not the government’s responsibility to provide healthcare for me. Or you. Or anyone. Show me in any of the Articles of our Constitution where it’s the government’s job to provide healthcare. If you can make a case for it, I’ll listen. But I’ve the entire Constitution, and I don’t see it. But if you can cite something, I’m open to hearing it.

A lot of people that are being detained as illegal, are NOT here illegally. It is legal, according to US law, to apply for asylum at the border. Case in point, 5 year Liam Ramos who was detained with his dad, even though they had entered the US at a port of entry and had an active asylum case. So they were not "illegal". Nevertheless, a five year old boy who was in the country legally is rotting away in a detention facility in Texas.

You can disagree with the asylum law. There's a thing called Congress and they can pass new immigration laws. They should try it some time.

You're detached from reality if you think local police will interfere with federal law enforcement. At best, they'll stand idly by at the direction of their political overlords, it's more likely they'll ignore calls for service based on someone complaining that federal immigration is being enforced by federal authorities.

Clearly nuts. Law enforcement officers enforce the laws within their remits, whether you like the laws or not. Try to change the laws if you don't like them. Asking local police to block the enforcement of federal laws by federal law enforcement merely reflect gross ignorance of the roles and authorities of different law enforcement agencies.

It would be wonderful if they just enforced the law. But the entire problem is that they have been given a mandate and told they have absolute immunity. If you weren't willfully trying to spread propaganda, you'd have enough time to take your head out of your ass.
