Is it not like this everywhere else? (I've never left the east coast) 😔

No. Californians do not even understand sarcasm

"My husband has repeatedly cheated on me, but I don't want to wreck my family, should I stay?" "My kids teacher did/said _____, what should I do?" "My MIL/parents wouldn't let us eat while at their house, we were starving")

I could go on, but I really don't know how some people who post here actually function

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Some of the questions people ask… 🤦‍♂️

I am currently in the middle of a house fire. Should I call 911 before or after I get out? After I am out of the house, isn't it more of a non-emergency?

When I have been mean on here it’s because dumb people in my life frustrate me. I know they can’t help it but when I was younger and sleep deprived I couldn’t control myself all the time.

IRL I have a sweet friend who is all heart. She does not get even the basics of her phone or any kind of technology. I had to stop helping her because it wasn’t good for our friendship. Now I just scroll past posts that I think are dumb.

True. The level of dysfunction I have been exposed to in real life is also insane

There are a lot of posters here who seem truly unhappy with their lives and families, and they are critical of so much that happens in this world. Others seem clinically depressed.

Others seem overly pedantic or far enough along the spectrum, they should consider medication.

Oh, this is like when someone posts about whether they are making too much out of a health concern and the responses are get treated for your anxiety, and it isn't meant as a kind way of suggesting they look into help.

There are many times when I think this about people's posts. I think several of these people are basement bros and extremely unhappy, bit*chy women. I think they are miserable people in real life with no friends, so they want to make others miserable.

This. And I always envision them to be 300lbs, poorly mannered, and friendless.

Why the need to launch gender-based insults and body shame.

Can’t just criticize their characters , without impugning some larger group?? Why that instinct?

No, it's when someone posts, "What does 12-15 minutes mean? 12 or 15?"

My absolute favorite recurring topic is “the invitation says no gifts. What does that mean? Am i supposed to bring a gift?”

You’re supposed to bring something trivial like a bottle of whisky or flowers but not a “gift.”

Why do they seem to try to pick you apart and judge you?

When I comment, I try to be helpful. If I can’t think of a helpful answer, it’s not my job to comment..why would I even want to?? I scroll on

By posting on internet, you are basically soliciting criticism and that's not necessarily a bad thing. You already know your point of view, you need a group of peers to dissect your issue and give different perspectives. In the end, its your responsibility to analyze it all ti help you to come to your own conclusion.

Because the majority of our society are angry, unhappy ➕ depressed lost souls.

Sad but very true.

Evidenced by who they elected President a little over a year ago……..
