How can I punish all the idiots on the road with obnoxious headlights or drive around without high beams on?

How does that help when someone is coming at me in their urban-assault vehicle with their leds blazing?

The other day a pedestrian crossed in front of one of those cars, and was literally invisible to me due to the glare.

And your reaction is to make things more dangerous, by using mirrors to send the glare bouncing around even more?

+1 There seem to be no industry standards. Headlights are blindingly bright now. It's insane. It's because LED lights are brighter than the old ones but don't travel as far, so they have to be insanely bright to light up the road. Hello, department of transportation, are you listening?

I have a serious question and I'm not trying to be a jerk so please don't yell at me lol. My car is a 2012 so I have no experience with the new headlights. Can you not change the bulb if they're too bright or too dim? When I go to AutoZone I get a lot of different brightness options for replacement headlights. Do the new headlights only come with one option?

With LED headlights usually there is no bulb that one could change. Instead the LEDs are tightly integrated.

Why would you change them? They are bright for safety.

I don’t believe this. Someone literally blinded me the other night. People are driving around with high beams on clueless or uncaring.

It’s not their high beams. It’s the lights on cars made from ~2019 and later. Not sure why you keep insisting hoards of people in this are drive with high beams on when it’s the regular light setting for the car. It’s obnoxious but the driver can’t do anything about it and it’s now the norm for new cars.

Wrong. There are tons and tons of morons in the DMV who drive around with their highbeams on not giving a flying F. You can 100% tell because the pattern on headlights is different for high beams vs low beams.

I just leave my left blinker on passive aggressively if they do that to me. That’s what’s done with aggressive driving in my home country. And you chose a vehicle with lights that can’t be turned down? Only in America! (Personal responsibility is key in home country)

Typical horrible DMV drivers:

Yesssssss please:

Screw your LED lights

Haha this is kind of funny. Will have to try that next time.

I am so sick and tired of all the jerks on the road driving around with one million lumen headlights like they need the sun to drive so that they can see, those DUMB and obnoxious lightbars, and the insane number of idiots on the road who drive around with high beams on.

How about the idiots that drive at night with their daytime driving lights and no taillights?

PSA - People, physically turn your headlights on at night.

I agree w/you 💯% OP - - I get so annoyed as well.

However it is best not to intentionally piss off another motorist since these days we don’t know who has a weapon behind the wheel.

Road rage is real & should be avoided at all co$ts in my opinion. 😫
