It’s not their high beams. It’s the lights on cars made from ~2019 and later. Not sure why you keep insisting hoards of people in this are drive with high beams on when it’s the regular light setting for the car. It’s obnoxious but the driver can’t do anything about it and it’s now the norm for new cars. |
| I turn my brights on. If they want to drive around blinding everyone with their idiotically bright headlights, they can enjoy my brights. |
Did you read any of the responses? It takes a special kind of stupid to post a comment like yours considering people you’re “punishing” had nothing to do with how bright the lights are. Are you slow? |
|
Mine are automatic and sense when to go bright or dim.
There is also the opposite problem of the number of people driving around without any lights. Saw 3 cars driving this way on the beltway on last night. |
I don’t understand how this happens so frequently. The “auto” feature that determines whether your headlights should be on is not new. Most cars on the road have it. Why don’t people use that as their default? |
I’m not OP and I wouldn’t personally use the word “punish,” but yeah, it would be great to disincentivize people adding aftermarket crazy bright lights to their vehicles. |
I think I'd rather just get those yellow glasses. Y'all sound scary. |
This op. I also find many cars’ lights to be too bright, but it’s the cars. They are not using high beams. Check your eyes for astigmatism cause that makes it worse for you. |
Scary? I don’t want vigilante justice. I want the crazy bright aftermarket lights banned and I want law enforcement to fine people for having them. Cars shouldn’t pass inspection with them. |
Everyone wants that. Also crackdown on the overly tinted windows. If we could have ICE give out these fines while they are on the streets doing roadblocks anyway, that would be great. Maybe they would focus more on the lights and tinted windows and less on light and tinted people. |
I guess we'll just hate to keep repeating it until it gets through your thick skull. WE ARE NOT ADDING AFTER MARKET LIGHTS. New cars come with lights brighter than you like. JFC!!!! Are you choosing to be dumb so you can justify shining YOUR brights at people? |
+1. Stock Lexus SUV, and people flash their high beams at me at least once a week. I asked the dealer to check them, and they said they are aligned properly. Like PP said, I usually just flash the other driver back to show them those aren't my high beams. Not the best response I know, but I'd prefer they realize my high beams are not on. |
Why is it not the best response? What else can you do? Ignore them and have people like OP do even worse on the road? |
Same! |
Go F yourself. We’re talking about two different things. You’re talking about the original manufacturer headlights. I’m talking about the tricked out pickup trucks with additional lights added. |
