I combine them because it shows a systemic failure on the part of SHA and Montgomery County to do anything meaningful to improve safety on the roads. Is there anywhere else with so many fatal crashes in such a short period and such a small area?

I think the state bears some degree of responsibility for putting crosswalks in stupid places. This one and the one on veirs mill by Pendleton. That one is by the crest of a hill so you can’t see the crosswalk until it would be too late. What policy maker or highway planner thought crosswalks that are simply lines on a road should ever go in these locations? If they aren’t going to have stop lights/flashing lights/ something, those crosswalks should not be there. They create a false sense of security in pedestrians while actually setting them up to be in very dangerous situations.

A light at Pendleton is currently in progress and should be operational this winter.

Curious, not confrontational. How do you distinguish between the two areas or have you just never had a need to? Like to explain there are speed cameras on Connecticut in one section but not the other.

Not the PP you responded to. South Kensington (north of Beach drive & CT Ave to what is it Knowles or to the fire station on CT?) does have a few cameras along CT Ave. Who advocated for those? "South" Kensington $$$ talks?

Oh, I get it now. This is a nascent "North Bethesda" situation.

I've never had a need to distinguish and since official Kensington is small I call all those unincorporated areas by whichever place they are closer to and add a landmark. ie: Kensington near Kaiser or Kensington near the Mormon Temple.
