D.C. police target of investigation re: faked crime data

How do they report “ someone moved my car, but I have it?” Did you know that parking enforcement sometimes moves peoples cars to other locations if they are blocking traffic or an emergency activity.

Are you implying that's what is happening is DC? It's not car theft, but parking services relocating vehicles due to emergencies?

I live in DC and didn’t know this. I have never heard it. While I know there are areas of DC where crime is high(er), there is no crime where I live other than an occasional rash of cars broken into /rifled through.

I also work in a somewhat rougher area of DC but I certainly don’t see crime on my drive to &from the office. I don’t feel the need to lock my doors or roll through stop signs (to prevent car jacking).

Trump and MAGA’s are full of it. DC is no worse than any major metro area and better than many in RED states.

Arrests don't mean squat. I once read a book how liberal blue Baltimore jukes crime numbers. You know how Baltimore Police got arrest numbers up? They arrested a whole bunch of black people for minor things like jaywalking and bicycle violations like not riding without a helmet. They never crackdown on hardened violent offenders, drug slingers, pimps, and the harder criminals. Police in liberal blue cities love when all they have do are "arrests" and and performances are based on "arrest" numbers alone, because they arrest a whole bunch of people for minor things and get to sit in court during hearings over tickets for things like jaywalking. They sit in courts after their shifts too, so all that time in court they get to charge sweet gravy overtime. That's why you have patrol cops making $200k+ salaries. Meanwhile, liberal blue mayors get to tout "increased arrests" while crime only goes down because they juke the numbers.

Ha ha ha - are you really this stupid? It’s so pathetic the MAGA types think Trump’s goons are doing anything about drug dealers, prostitution and violent crime. Trump pardons the real criminal, he doesn’t arrest him. Maybe check out who Trump has pardoned thus far - lots of serious criminals like drug dealers, fraudsters and sex traffickers.

The troops and federal officers Trump has let loose on DC aren’t arresting these “hardened criminals” you talk about. They aren’t even in the worst DC neighborhoods. They are hanging out in Georgetown, the National Mall, and in the areas of NW and NE that have higher percentages of black and Mexican residents in order to harness folks, make petty arrests, and drop a dime to ICE on poor hardworking immigrants.

Same in surrounding areas. People know they can walk into a store and take whatever they want. They can try to take your car and damage it in the process. Too bad if it happens to you.

So you’re saying there was never actually a crime problem to begin with. Glad we’ve cleared that up.

Just like the economic numbers. If you don’t like outcome, manipulate the data.

They also manipulated COVID data to cover up deaths. They want to junk weather satellites farmers rely on to hide climate change. Lying about stats is basically part of the Republican platform.

Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner.

Republicans can’t back up their positions with facts - it’s impossible because they are on the wrong side on everything. So instead, Republicans are destroying how facts are accumulated and disseminated so people can’t refute their constant lies and conspiracy theories. It’s also why they are destroying educational institutions and substituting voodoo-religious indoctrination. A uneducated populace with no access to facts can’t argue against their fake bs —-> they are trying to make everyone in the USA like their MAGA base.

+1 DC residents have been complaining about police refusing to write reports for crime for years. We know this is true. Trump says the same thing and suddenly people are rewriting history and pretending this hasn't been happening.

We have to start thinking critically and stop reacting in opposition to our own interests just because Trump says something. It was the same with keeping schools closed, keeping males out of female spaces, fighting antisemitism, not supporting terrorism, securing our borders/country, and now fighting crime. Trump says it so progressives have a knee-jerk reaction to oppose it even though sometimes he is right.

Quit going for the cheap group think validation every time you say F Trump. Put aside your desperate need for approval and identity politics and start using your brain. Opening schools Fall of 2020 was the right choice. Fighting crime when we know the stats are suppressed is a good thing. Fighting antisemitism and putting American interests ahead of Islamic terrorists is the right thing to do. We need to secure our borders and deport criminals, illegal aliens, and those involved with anti-American activity (hello remember 9/11 libs???), and remove the control of foreign (especially Islamic) interests over our colleges and universities. Keeping biological males out of female sports and locker rooms is the right thing. Anything else is misogynistic. It's ok to think for yourself and not jump head first into 100% of the progressive ideology.

Nah, I lived in Shaw for 20 years. Crime is definitely underreported. I could give my own anecdotes, but that would be anecdotal. The truth is, police don’t take a report. Sometimes they don’t even show up. I’ve spoken to officers sitting in their cars, and they said there’s no point in making arrests since the bad guys are released right away by the courts.

+1 You would have to either live in a very low-crime neighborhood or have your head in the sand not to know this.

Or not live in DC. I'm so sick of the clueless suburbanites posting that DC crime isn't a problem when they don't even live in DC neighborhoods.

DC politicians care only about black votes,
not about black lives.

+1 Unfortunately this is very true. They supported WTU keeping schools closed which ruined countless black youth's lives, do a horrible job with supporting special needs in schools so those kids end up illiterate and without good futures, and enable crime and drugs so more blacks end up drug addicts and criminals.

DC politicians have failed black youth every step of the way. DCPS is basically a jobs program. They sold it to WTU for the votes at the expense of DC's children.

So the pigs are lazy? Sounds right. Most vote Republican and support Trump and blame everyone else for them being worthless.

9 murders since the National Guard took over on August 12, but please tell me more about how they’re just picking up trash and their presence hasn’t reduced the murder rate.
