I seriously doubt the amount of illegal immigrants is what's causing the housing prices to skyrocket.

What is DOJ going to do? Arrest every MPD patrolman who refuses to take a report?

You won't have any of the force left.

The problem is not faking stats. The issue is a work stand-down by rank-and-file MPD officers.

Trump seems to want the federal personnel to increase crime stats by committing the crime themselves

I’ve lived in DC since 1987 and these allegations are hardly news to me. I remember when the City Paper’s reporter who did the “crime blotter” got robbed, reported it, and MPD failed to include her own crime that month (as just one obvious example).

What do you think will be the result of the investigation here?

The results will be fake and made up to meet the political narrative. Oh and no one is concerned that DC crime numbers are fake. F’ing get a life dude!

Bullshit! I’m a DC native and know for a fact that crime data has been manipulated and outright lied about to make it sound like things are improving. Car break ins and muggings are routinely left out - this was told to me by multiple MPD officers. Anyone who has lived here for the past ten years or ridden the Metro could tell you crime is getting worse.

At least the crazy moped riders have gone to ground.

I'm a long time resident. Crime has certainly fallen over the last 2 years.

Arrests may have fallen. But that is in large part due to MP 20% below required staffing. Crime is still very high. Ask me how I know.

Every looted CVS was an unreported crime.

Every traffic violation that was an unreported crime.

Tired of the mopeds. We spend billions of our tax dollars to house the homeless from other cities and educate children of noncitizens.

I didn’t vote for Trump but I’m glad the city is being cleaned-up.

+1. All the weed smoking at the Metro and parks.

Sure dude! You have no credibility. Go back to Fox or the David Duke work release program.

Yes, call anyone who oppose thefts by (overwhelmingly black) perpetrators David Duke. That always works.

C’mon. How do you know CVS isn’t reporting this? Car break-ins and theft are definitely down in our neighborhood, thankfully. Police were hanging out on Military Ave right next to the park to apprehend thieves, and act as a deterrence, which seemed to work.

DC cops don’t even show up to take a report for shoplifting. It’s the price of doing business in DEMOCRAT controlled cities…. Until you can’t afford it anymore.

It is the cause for the increase of wait time for housing assistance. Is it still a year in ffx county? Or did they sort that out?

The city isn’t being cleaned up.
