It makes sense if you plan to be in the house for another 20+ years and don't plan to move anywhere. It's just that most people here don't plan on that.

Do people know how to have thoughts that they don't say out loud anymore? I get that people think all sorts of things, but we used to have this thing called manners that prevented us from just blabbering whatever was on our mind in any given moment. Some call it a filter. Same thing.
