Son versus Dad Height and Weight

Husband- 5’11”
DS15- 5’5”

Hoping he can squeeze out another few inches but looks like he’s slowed down a lot this year and voice dropped, underarm hair, dark leg hair recently. (I’m 5’5”)

Clearly my son takes after my side, so yeah it is weird to focus on the dads.

Dad: 5’8” 165
son: 6’1” 155

My side of the family is where the height came from. I’m 5’7” and my dad and brother are both over 6’ while my husband is the tallest in his immediate family.

Oh and missed it’s supposed to be dads hs weight, he was barely 140 lbs in hs. My son is now in college but his hs weight was around 145 at 6’1”.

Son is 5’8 145 (almost 18, hit puberty early and hasn’t grown for years)
I am 5’4 so son got my side but we did expect him to be taller.

Your DH isn't 6' 4" He likely isn't even the 6' 3" and some change he claims he's probably just missing 6 ft so many men are delusional about their height and lie about especially to women who are under 5'6" and can't tell.

Lol, what?? Yes, he is almost 6’4. Goofy tall, is how I have always (lovingly) described him. Sons often do not reach their father’s height unless the mom is also very tall.

I'm not sure that's true . . . it certainly isn't for my DS.

Of course it’s true, have you ever taken a basic biology course? Genes (including height) come from both sides. If dad is super tall but mom is average height or shorter, son is very unlikely to reach dad’s height. Very obvious.

That's true but I also know from lived experience in my line of work people often think they are 1 to 2 inches taller than they actually are and men very commonly give an inaccurate height. I wish I could collect a small fee every time a man reported his height at 6 feet are over and it was inaccurate i could rival Bezos fortune. Very few of you have husbands who are 6ft even fewer have husbands who are over even if they tell you 6' 4". It's an easy lie to maintain until you're actually in the room with a 6ft or over

DH is 6’0 and was 150 lbs in HS.
Son is 6’3 and 235!

It’s the video games and cheetohs making your son a fattie.

Muscular 6’3” men can weigh 235 easily full of muscle mass, no fat.
Skinny 6’3” men can weigh 200 lbs. no muscle, no fat.

They can but typically don't both groups tend to hover around 190 when fit maybe 200. 235 is almost always overweight.
