Your DH isn't 6' 4" He likely isn't even the 6' 3" and some change he claims he's probably just missing 6 ft so many men are delusional about their height and lie about especially to women who are under 5'6" and can't tell.

Lol, what?? Yes, he is almost 6’4. Goofy tall, is how I have always (lovingly) described him. Sons often do not reach their father’s height unless the mom is also very tall.

Such a classic DCUM comment, a stranger on the internet telling you that, actually, your husband is NOT that tall.

The short men on DCUM are always accusing tall people of lying about their height. They don’t realize that over 6’, no one needs to lie about it and it becomes a disadvantage at a certain height like 6’4 or 5.

It’s weird because objectively they have to see they are still shorter than these men they accuse of exaggerating.

I'm not sure that's true . . . it certainly isn't for my DS.

Lots of women don’t prefer dating giants. And everyone expects you to be good at sports even if you aren’t. Not to mention trying to find clothes that fit….

DH is 6’0 and was 150 lbs in HS.
Son is 6’3 and 235!

It’s the video games and cheetohs making your son a fattie.

NP. You sound like you have a lot of experience in that area.

Of course it’s true, have you ever taken a basic biology course? Genes (including height) come from both sides. If dad is super tall but mom is average height or shorter, son is very unlikely to reach dad’s height. Very obvious.

Very tall people have a higher risk of cancer.
One son is shaping up to be tallish and skinny like his dad, one looks to be short and muscular like me (Polish peasant genes.)

In addition to health concerns, it's just uncomfortable after a certain point. Public transportation/restaurants and many other places just aren't set up to accommodate very tall people.

Extremes in height are generally unattractive in either direction, plus very tall people have a lot of health issues.

It’s not always comfortable to sit in a regular car, harder to sleep in a twin or full bed.

You do have to pay attention to hanging lamps, ceiling fans and chandeliers etc.

You often can’t try on shoes and pants to assess fit. Stores often don’t carry larger sizes (e.g., shoes over size 13, pants 36+) Some shoe brands don’t make shoes beyond size 13 or 14.

In the US, I may notice if a man is 6’4” or 6’5” but it’s common enough. It’s not until 6’6” that I’m really looking/surprised by a person’s height.

Dad is 6'1" and 175.

Son is 6'2" and 165. He recently turned 15 so probably has a little bit left in the tank.

I'm 5'3" and DH's mom is 4'11" but the grandsons in their family are tall for some reason.

Short men on DCUM aren’t “always accusing tall men of lying about their height.” What does that even mean?

DH is 5'9" and probably 230 lbs right now. Diet always starting tomorrow.

DS21 is 6'2" and not sure of weight but he is super fit and expensive to feed when he's home because it takes a lot of protein to maintain his physique
