In our large family the family who puts the credit card up for the rental gets to pick their room first.
Also the oldest family member/couple gets the largest-biggest room. |

I only have one sibling so hard to say what would happen with 4 adult children.
I would have given the better room to youngest sibling. I don’t know how two rooms can be exactly the same. I am often last to arrive for friend trips. Last to arrive gets the worst room. It is what it is. I once was pissed when a non paying friend took the best rooms and we got the worst because we arrived late. In their situation, the kids are very demanding and picked the best rooms. They were already unpacked so we couldn’t tell them to move. I always thought they were so rude. |
This right here. |
Yes—what a way to alienate the younger siblings. And the oldest’s brat daughter got her own room while the other siblings got lower quality rooms AND had to room with their kids? What a screwed up family. |
| It's day 2 or day 3 of OP's vacation. I hope she's reading the responses out loud each morning in the golden oak dining area while the three packs of bacon are cooking. |
Except the youngest sibling is watching his family laugh at how he’s been treated his entire life and thinking, “F this. Next year we’ll skip the beach trip.” |
+1 Thank god I no longer have to do this! |
Oh I'm hoping youngest sibling catches wind of this thread. Everyone is rooting for him. |
