Do you see lingerie, makeup and heels as healthy or subjugation?

Really?

Yes, 1000% percent.

I also feel blah when I don't have some makeup on, and I permanently wfh. I hardly go out in the summer. Can't stand the weather.

You have internalized the subjugation. You need to be deprogrammed.

This is so dumb. I can see myself in the mirror. I objectively look better with makeup on.

Why does she feel “pretty”? Because she’s meeting the male gaze standard. She may not know it but that’s what she’s doing.

You may not know it, but you really aren’t that intelligent.

Not OP, but I think men should shave and do bikini wax if they want their partners to do so.

Most seem to. Though I hear that zoomers tend to be lazy and not groom as much, both males and females. Ick!

Why Ick? If they use bidet to wash after every urination and deification, they are perfectly clean between showers, at least better than people who only use toilet paper to clean and are only clean between a shower and next use of toilet. Body hair have normal biological function and you don't need to shave all over.

Because it is ick and lazy. Adults should groom properly. That includes those long nasty beards men!

Well the majority of young men are not seeking relationships or sex. They have chosen to just be on there own.

Women even more so.

If men try to wear makeup, the Republicans go crazy (unless they themselves are the ones wearing it).

No woman would want a man who wears makeup. Imagine the fights over who borrowed what!?

Now there's an exception for men who are famous rockstars wearing a little guyliner if they play rock or metal.

It’s a real change even to about ten years ago. I don’t know if the pandemic sped it up or what but it’s interesting.

I haven’t seen a woman wearing makeup at work in years. When I run into a person with a full face of makeup, she sticks out in a bad way. Like she’s insecure and probably fake.

Oh that’s cute. You think women who aren’t wearing bright red lipstick have on no makeup.

I like wearing lingerie and makeup. The structure of my feet makes it impossible to wear heels without screaming in pain after a few minutes, so I never do.

I just want a natural beauty (which I've got!).

A woman can be naturally beautiful and wear heels, lingerie and make up. Just like guys with nice bodies, that ruin their “look” by wearing jorts, white high tops and a heavily logo T-shirt.

The attractive part of lingerie heels is being well put together. Well put together people are generally more attractive than those that aren’t, regardless of sex.

We're not dressing that way for you, honey!

The guy doesn’t like it. You do. Both are fine. Why are you explaining this? (a woman by the way).

+1
The PP is definitely womansplaining.

Very true. Women dress to impress other women, not the men. Men would be fine with us in shorts and tanks.

PP may be intelligent or not, but they are absolutely correct about this.

You do know how make up works, right?

Sort of, yes. I mean, I know it’s somewhat self imposed but still

Men have little say in all this.

Women's beauty and fashion is mostly decided by women. Women adhere to them because we are social creatures and want to be liked by women and sometimes by men.

Lol. Tell me you know nothing about the fashion/beauty industry without telling me you know nothing about it.

Can you explain? Np
