There still are - and they did not vote for Trump. They held their noses and voted for Harris as the least undesirable candidate. If PP had said there are fewer traditional conservatives now, that would have been true. Moderate Republicans (which also still exist) also held their noses and voted for Harris, btw, for the same reasons.

I've noticed that the left-leaning frequently can't imagine they aren't in the majority. I guess that's natural when you are as sure of the rightness of your politics as many of them are.

My spouse and I are one of those traditional Republicans who have never voted for Trump, but have held our noses and voted Democrats the last 3 elections. 😣 Nowadays, we call ourselves Independents. Both political parties sucks.

DP, but the handful of old-school Reagan/McCain Republicans I know did not vote for Trump, but “held their noses” and voted for Harris and are not maga. They are also not Democrat and do still consider themselves Republican but have to jump through all kinds of verbal hoops to justify their existence to folks like you.

Our family is a lot like yours and we love Fairfax county schools, Langley HS to be exact. The school board is left leaning but the kids and families are generally right of center and more normal than a lot of the privates mentioned in the thread.

Been a while since I've connected with Holy Trinity in Georgetown, but my experience is it is very much a Jesuit school. Not really right-of-center.
