St Patrick’s has gone so far left that all the students are leaving 😂 |

Agree with others who say no to St. Pats. It's too liberal. When I went to visit last year, every classroom and staff office had a pride flag displayed (and it wasn't Pride month). But I didn't see a single American flag. It was a bit much.
Of the Episcopalian schools, I'd say Washington Episcopal School (WES) could be a good fit. It's a fantastic K-8 school. Very welcoming and inclusive but not overly progressive. |
If you voted for Trump (or even just didn’t vote against him) then you are MAGA. You are pretending that you’re better than MAGA by giving it some pretend label. There are zero episcopal schools in the DMV that are maga friendly. Your beliefs are limited to Catholic and Christian academy only. Trust me. Unless you bribe the shit out of your peers at episcopal schools then you are socially toast. And even if you do bribe them, it’s a transactional connection only. |
Westminster is actually a good suggestion. |
We’re a Potomac family, and I always laugh when people claim it is one extreme, and then the next post claims it’s the other. We’ve found it to be very moderate and really welcoming of everyone. I’d say SSSAS or some of the catholic schools may be more of what OP is looking for |
This is just a way to say that it's a safe space for LGBTQ kids. A lot of teaching spaces have some indication of that. |
DP, but the handful of old-school Reagan/McCain Republicans I know did not vote for Trump, but “held their noses” and voted for Harris and are not maga. They are also not Democrat and do still consider themselves Republican but have to jump through all kinds of verbal hoops to justify their existence to folks like you. As fractured as the politics in our country have become, there are still people who exist on all parts of the spectrum. |
Agree, since the real currency at the larger Episcopal schools is currency. |
More time is spent social engineering than on academics. |
| Hanging a supportive flag takes less than a minute for most of us. I'm sorry it's such a time-consuming task for you. |
Not most in this area. |
Their new director of admissions is phenomenal. We were so sad to see him leave. Hopefully he can help turn things around! |
Well, if this is true, OP should try Sidwell. My kids are there, we voted for Trump, and our kids know quite a few others there who supported him. |
What do you even mean with all of this bribing stuff. Is that a jab at Maga or Episcopal schools in general. What are you saying? |
| NPS has been described as having a lot of southern families. |
