Recs for in-state (VA) 3.5 GPA

It usually is the most affordable option and many of us aren't about to pay for some mediocre OOS school, even with merit, when we have excellent in-state options.

UVA overlaps with Duke in terms of SATs. That doesn’t mean that Duke isn’t more selective than UVA. Or are you now going to insist that it isn’t?

I never said VT wasn't more selective than JMU. I said that a 1360 wasn't functionally different from a 1260 and that the two schools' student bodies were extremely similar. In VA, JMU's student body is most similar to VT, and VT's student body is most similar to JMU.

We’re talking about VA options for a kid with a 3.5. Tech isn’t one of them. So, fine, make your point that the schools have similar feels. But don’t deliberately cloud the waters and antagonize time again with your one sentence cryptic responses essentially poo pooing the difference between the two.

Virginia Tech is absolutely in the cards for a 3.5 GPA.

VT has long accepted the majority of applicants.
