The general perception of Harvard and the actual freshman experience are worlds apart. Harvard provides the opportunity for rigorous intellectual and yes uncomfortable academic and social experiences and interactions. That is the reason to go there - to test your preconceived notions of right, wrong, and everything in between and to do so in an environment that ensures you have access to a panoply of minds, literature and experiences.
