In what world? Just from touring them???

Yes, and learning about their curricula, observing the teachers, being in their facilities, and learning about after school enrichment options.

One thing no one has brought up here in the DCPS vs. MCPS comparisons is the Elementary curricula for ELA and math. DCPS uses a curriculum for ELA that was created by central office and it is terrible. Social studies is also created in-house and is also not very good. MCPS uses CKLA for their curriculum and it is highly regarded and considered a high quality curriculum. It is way better than the DCPS curriculum. For math, both districts use Eureka, although DCPS uses the the recently updated version which is slightly better. MCPS offers compacted Math in 4th and 5th grade, district wide, which DCPS doesn't. MCPS has instrumental music for all students across the district, which DCPS doesn't.
In my opinion, MCPS offers a better education

MCPS also uses CKLA for middle school. Just look at the other thread about the new curriculum for MS English in DCPS.
