British kids are more posh than American kids

Do it twice and if you live, tell me about it.

Once they'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Twice? You're playing with fire, my friend.

Word choice is different.

British say "that's very nice"

Americans say "that's delicious"

I don't see the brits as having a better vocabulary, just different word choice. Actually, I think my kids' peers have better a vocabulary by a wide margin for what I saw in the UK living there.

Very true.

My kid goes to school in the Deep South and says even people in less affluent areas or service jobs are dressed well and demonstrate better manners than their counterparts in the dc metro area. They are also friendlier and more courteous.

I disagree.

I live in the South and the kids here are just as bad in terms of manners. They’re unable to hold a conversation, maintain eye contact, etc. They’re mostly pretty feral.

The exception is private school kids. The most expensive private schools do a great job of polishing their kids.

Well, of course they are. They have no fear of losing healthcare, they have a guaranteed education, they fear no school shootings, overall they can focus on being kids.
