Maybe, but they have terrible southern accents that sound MAGA, not " posh". |
|
Southern accents do not equal MAGA.
I live in the south, and my area votes R 66%, D 33%. Almost everyone (but me) has an accent. |
Read what I wrote..."sound" MAGA and more often than not, they are! |
+1 These kids are completely normal, not "posh" or any different from American kids. What a bizarre thread. |

| I lived in London and taught there for a few years. Their inner city state schools are in chaos and full of thugs, just like ours. Their teacher retention crisis is worse than in the US. The think they might have more kids who are EAL too, and lots of parents who can’t speak English. |
ummmm no. That is the same way US private school kids act. UK is behind US in almost every measure of education. Not sure you are onthe righ track here. |
This is such an amusing generalization. Plenty of American parents speak to their children using "big words" as well.
|
+1 It's such a myth that all (or even most) Brits speak like the actors we see on TV and in movies. |
And UMC American kids are the same way, with equally involved parents. Now show a video of LMC kids. |
Is this satire? The UK is full of different kinds of people, just like the US. And there are *plenty* of flat-out rude British people. This thread seems to have been started by someone who has never even been to the UK. |
Exactly. |
There are posh southern accents just and dumber ones, just like in the north or midwest or anywhere. These kids are the same as American kids. Different word choice maybe but very comparable. |
Or on 4 pints of beer. If not, just go to Newcastle and walk around on any day at any time. Grandma will be our drunk with her daughter and granddaughter all in stilettos and miniskirts. Super trashy. |
No, you have a sampling bias from your home. If you come to my house you will see very well manners kids who surround themselves with well mannered friends. |
