Though this family just moved into the house that was raided two weeks prior, the people who were the subjects of the investigation had vacated the property months earlier.

Is HSI even a federal org? Or was this outsourced? Or were they renegades? This article doesn't really seem to explain.

The agency falls under the Department of Homeland Security and is part of ICE. It’s more obscure than most federal law enforcement agencies. Per ICE’s website, HSI is currently headed by Robert Hammer, the Acting Executive Associate Director of HSI, who has declined comment on this case.

+1 HSI is a real agency within DHS but it’s not supposed to be focused on deporting illegal immigrants but ICE is using everybody with a pulse.

This was part of an investigation into an alleged human smuggling cartel, not a simple deportation case.

So? That somehow makes it better they didn’t do basic due diligence like making sure the people they were targeting still actually lived in the house?

Here’s the faux news story(it’s gross but sometimes you have to look under the hood to see what’s making that knocking noise) in this BS situation. It reads like a pretzel recipe. This is going to happen over and over again and they are going to find oh so subtle ways to try and smear the victims of their “oopsies”. In the article you’ll find out that the family are naturalized citizens because that makes it somehow more acceptable to their audience that it happened. Still leaves up a nice barrier of “it won’t happen to me”.
It’s also apparently Biden’s fault.

Did you actually read the Fox article you posted? ICE had 20 armed agents burst in because they were targeting the "home" but didn't realize that the people they were targeting had been gone for months. The FOX article says they justify it because there was still one utility bill being paid by the prior residents--when we moved in, the prior residents were apparently too lazy to change one of the utilities they had in their name. Or perhaps in the case of these Oklahoma prior residents, there was some benefit to keep paying the bill as proof of something. Either way, doesn't justify that ICE screwed up and terrorized these US Citizens?

I’m not defending what was done to this poor family. I’m the one who posted that the suspects hadn’t lived in the house for months. I hope this case leads to some changes so this doesn’t keep happening. I’m just pointing out that HSI didn’t barge into the house, pointing guns at people, and force children outside in their underwear just to deport otherwise law abiding people. They were actually pursuing suspects in an international criminal enterprise. I’m not sure how to prevent this from happening to innocent people, but we need to figure out a better way to do these no knock raids than the way we’ve been doing them.

This is how Breonna Taylor was killed, the difference being that it was local police with a no-knock warrant. In the wake of that, KY passed a law curtailing no-knock warrants. Unfortunately, state laws wouldn't apply to Feds.

Was she the one killed by an illegal ?

Louisville PD Officer Brett Hankison was found guilty of violating Breonna Taylor’s civil rights through his use of excessive force, which led to her death, so yes, you could say she was killed by an illegal act.

MAGA doesn’t care about crimes committed by the police.

Yep. It’s the price paid for government dependence. Totally not worth it. Give the control freak grifters the boot.

Not only don't they care, their leader just signed a new EO directing the Justice Dept. to mobilize law firms to defend police officers unjustly accused of misconduct free of charge. I'm guessing that they'll ALL be deemed "unjustly accused." I'm just waiting for him to pardon Derek Chauvin.

Unfortunately she will find out she has essentially no legal recourse. Conservatives have completely rigged the system against victims of police misconduct.
