I’m not sure how fast Oklahoma does this but in Maryland deeds can get recorded around two months after the actual sale goes through due to backlog. It’s likely that no one did anything wrong. Except for the thugs that work for DHS. |
Good point. I feel for the innocent parties involved. Assuming the new owners and Marissa’s family are completely cleared, and DHS seizes the house, it seems like DHS should have to pay the new owner fair market value (what they paid for the house and any improvements, given they had owned it less than 90 days prior to the raid), and they should have to make Marissa’s family whole. |
