Yep, I never heard of Google not being able to find people to fill their positions. |
Karma. |
Colleges get thousands of applications (sometimes tens of thousands or even a hundred thousand for Ivies) from students, the vast majority of whom aren't qualified. In fact that's how the "top top" schools make themselves look so selective through "attract to reject" strategies by sending B average and up students info encouraging them to apply. They do reply to all of them. |
Bingo. There is so much effort to put together an application and companies don't even have the courtesy to tell you that you didn't make the cut. |
It's mostly a liability issue. |
How about employers ghosting potential employees. Recruiter calls me unsolicited, I agree to a phone call they scheduled. The. They ghosted me and didn't call! Lame |
Yes, they ghost all the time. |
I dont think she has a better offer right now but expects one soon and is dragging it out to see. |
We are experiencing a similar situation as we build out a business focused on a category-killing new product that flips the script on a well-known commodity product in a fun new way (t-shirts-meet-shorts) and separately getting in on the women’s headwrap evolution/revolution.
In lieu of outdated pay arrangements we are offering generous equity positions in the business and so far have been ghosted by seven candidates, except one and that person is seeking to live in our storage facility. Disappointing. |
