The same SpaceX guys who just blew up a rocket. |
Oh my god. |
Gifting this- we should all feel safe now 🙄

“Gifting this” makes me wish I was in an upside down plane right now. Can we go back to speaking like normal people? |
Papers and magazines literally call these “gift links” to share with people who don’t have a subscription. |
Guess I won't be flying because I won't trust any system Elon and his crew of Gen Z psychos crank out on the fly. Tech sector method is to make radical changes then adapt as things go wrong. I'm not going to participate in whatever will go wrong in the air travel industry. |

Democrats won’t admit it, but my family’s economic outlook has gotten a LOT better since Trump took office. but what do I know? I don’t have a fancy economics degree, i’m just a regular guy who runs an airplane scrapyard. |
The OP was painful to read. How did this guy ever get elected? He isn't coherent and can't communicate succinctly.
The term he needed was "interoperable." He's saying the different flight systems aren't interoperable. I would imagine that would have been fixed if funding had been appropriated for that purpose because Congress, not the President, controls funding. |
Not for long. The GOP in Congress are clearly happy to abrogate their roles and responsibilities to Musk and Trump. |
If you’re the Trump appointee: I really enjoyed the AMA. I can believe that you’ll do a good and will work for people who will do a good job, even if I don’t agree with you. But I think this is an example of a case where interacting more people would be good. Maybe, say, this is the result of managers not understanding their own organizations well or engaging in “malicious compliance” and designing the termination lists to cause trouble. But it seems as if air traffic control people think these firings are a big deal. Republicans fly, too, and it’s hard to believe firing the support people will lead to good results. Before, Trump could blame any new crashes on Biden for a few more weeks. Now, any new crashes are on him. |
So far they fired some probationary employees, that’s all we know. ATCs have to be on the job training for 3 years before they get certified and become actual ATCs. So non of the actual ATCs can’t possibly be probationary. Also, ATCs are not eligible for the fork buyout because they are considered essential. What’s with all the fear mongering? Having said that, I don’t mind if you all stop flying. Looking forward to less crowded airports and flights. |
What’s the plan when the overworked and stressed employees retire or quit? |
Was this a procurement? |
Not great if equipment starts breaking? What if something breaks tomorrow? Or just isn’t maintained properly over time? Have we heard about failings like this already? When does it become an issue? Just curious. |
Sure put the SpaceX guys in charge of the FAA. They can't even run SpaceX well. |
