Are you brave enough to fly?

Def not going to fly with this

If I were a federal contractor, you know the big boys, I would be a little miffed that all of these plumb reform and software jobs are just being usurped by Musk instead of going through the normal procurement process. And how is to say the Amercian Taxpayer is getting the best value with Mush instead of competitive bidding with other firms like SAIC, Delloitte, PWC, Accenture etc?

It will be years before I fly again.

Ohhhh…..that will certainly impact the FAA. You trivial, hysterical, inconsequential, silly little people are so tiresome. And you haunt this little echo chamber for validation of your ridiculous behavior. Sad.

Please promise all of us you will fly as frequently as possible.

OH Well. When is your next flight? You should know that the shortage of air traffic controllers is greater today than it was yesterday.

The people laid off are not air traffic controllers. They are support personnel that clean the facilities, maintain equipment, etc. Not great if equipment starts breaking, but not an immediate threat to safety.

Pilot in the family and we will not be doing any flying any time soon.

Elon builds dangerous cars, and rockets that unintentionally explode. Not a reason in the world to trust he’s good at anything else. He just thinks he’s a genius.

Seriously

You understand the FAA is already short staffed, right? And in the short time trump has been president, there have been more airline deaths in the US than over the last 20 years combined. the main problem has nothing to do with technology or anything else other than getting the ATCs and the support within fully employed so managers don't have to run staff on 12 hour days etc.

Yes, "The impacted workers include personnel hired for FAA radar, landing and navigational aid maintenance" not good and actual air traffic controllers and pilots are concerned.

Not a Trumper or MAGA but you sound hysterical when you try to blame the DCA crash on Trump’s policies. Agreed that reducing technical support probably isn’t a great idea but neither Trump nor Biden had anything to do with a helicopter pilot failing to maintain visual separation.

"FAA staff fired over the weekend included personnel that worked radar, landing and navigational aid maintenance, among others. Hundreds were fired, just weeks after a fatal mid-air collision in DC killed 67. One employee said they were subjected to relentless harassment by SpaceX employees claiming to be DOGE agents before being fired which made it increasingly difficult for them to work. It was made clear that all this was retaliation over FAA's assessment of a fine against SpaceX over a missile that exploded in the upper atmosphere, jeopardizing air traffic."

Why? He blamed it on DEI. It's time for him to get a taste of his own medicine.
