Do your teen boys buy bottles of seriously pricey cologne?

I will add to let them smell the way they want to. Nobody likes the Smelly kid. To the Perfume enthusiast Parfum De Marley is Niche but more in the designer realm of smells. As for expensive you could go on fragrantica or parfumo. Com and they will give you what smells like the original. The middle eastern clone houses have plenty of cheap alternatives. I would never let them buy out of a department store. There are distributors like Jomashop or Fragrancebuy. Ca they are 50 to 75 pct cheaper and are all authentic. You can get everything from niche to designer to middle eastern clone houses. You can reference or pull up material from someone like ash from gentscents on you tube. For a teenager they should be looking for cheaper alternatives. I have had great success on Montagne Parfums he hand makes fragrances like ale labo and even makes all kinds of niche fragrances I have used them on several occasions and compared to many of the originals. He uses the best quality ingredients and if you spray and let sit two weeks you will never be able to tell the difference from the original at a price tag of 40.00 personally you can win more from the teenager and educate them about foolish spending if you engage in it with them. I am here because my daughter had the same problems and I helped her curb the cost with her teenage son otherwise known as my grandson. Better to have the love of fragrances as long as it is not an addiction than for them to get into other things!!!

It is both genders, Perfume is big among girls, too, and it's small brands, not the stuff we grew up with.
