If you restrict social media for your teens

They set them up on friends devices and just don’t log in on their own phones. They can check Snapchat at school a few different ways.

I’m the PP who restricts until 16, and honestly, if they’re willing to go to those lengths, whatever. Have at it. I’ll turn a blind eye to a bit of rebellion as long as it’s not in their pocket 24/7.

This is my philosophy. Sneaking around and finding work-arounds to things that are not age appropriate or acceptable to parents is normal teen behavior. But that behavior does not mean I should change my rules and limits.

Are you people really trying to restrict social media for your adult children in college?

No it isn’t. It’s already downloaded on teens phones and all teens have VPN’s to get around school blockages and will just use that. If you use an international one it will be just the same.

Plus we all know even if it does go away on the 19th it will be back in less than a month.
