This is a completely normal winter day in most of the country.

I know a lot of you don’t understand, but OSSE is required under federal law to provide transportation for hundreds of students with IEPS. There is no way they could run the busses safely today.

I understand a lot of you don’t care and feel that shouldn’t affect your child but it does influence decision making.

Why not? My gym was packed this morning. It's safe to drive to the gym but not to school?

Chicago Public Schools almost never close for snow. You need a blizzard for them to cancel class.

Just look at these two closed days as the days that should have been closed for Christmas break last week (Thursday and Friday when DCPS was open).
