MCPS already called it? I don’t know where yall live but roads aren’t plowed where I am. I think kids are off again tomorrow. (Also, teacher, get off DCUM and enjoy your damn snow day! Pull up a hallmark movie! Why be here of all places?)

Lots of DC kids get their only meals of the day at school, but, sure, let's cancel school for the second straight day because you prefer not to drive in snow.

Because school food is disgusting, they just throw it away anyway and somehow always have money for junk food. This argument is played out and tired.

Most of my students just eat Takis for lunch. Or lunchables. They hate the school lunch.

One of the issues is the food actually getting delivered. We are in a federal daycare and our food service provider wasn’t going to deliver. Until we heard from OPM, our daycare was asking us to send in breakfast/lunch/snacks with our toddler. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if DCPS was facing the same issues.

No. Sorry. You all tried this line during COVID. You don’t give a damn about The Poor Kids. You want YOUR OWN KIDS in the building, and think playing the bleeding heart card bolsters your case. It does not.

I think people wanted ALL kids back sooner during the pandemic. And it’s hard to argue they were wrong.
