What should I do with the dog loin I bought at HM for Christmas? |
This is the way. |
|
just moved to the burbs from the city and could not find "happy holiday" cards only "Merry Christmas"
It seems the war is on the generic use of holidays out here, not on Christmas. |
There is no "war of Christmas". No normal people get upset if you say Merry Xmas or Happy Hanukkah or Happy Eid. Get over yourself fool. |
| It is shameful that you can't say Merry Christmas in stores in America any more - the woke have got to go |
Why can't you say it in stores? I say it all the time and I'm not even Christian. Stop being such a coward. If you celebrate Xmas, say Merry Xmas. If you don't celebrate Xmas, feel free to say it anyway. Sticks and stones. |
Normal people also don't freak out if their red and green holiday-themed Starbucks cup isn't "Christmassy" enough for them but sadly there are a fair number of people out there who aren't normal. |
You can say it. But if you say it as a political aggression and not as an evident kindness, then you reap what you sow. |
| Saying "Merry Christmas" is a radical act of subversion in our occupied country. |
Disagree and stop using Xmas. It is derogatory to Christian’s and blasphemous. Word matter. |
Word do matter. The "X" in "Xmas" is an abbreviation for the Greek letter chi, which is the first letter of the Greek word Christós: Origin The abbreviation originated in the early fourth century when Roman Emperor Constantine the Great popularized it as shorthand for Christ. First use The first recorded use of "Xmas" was in 1021, when an Anglo-Saxon scribe wrote "XPmas". Meaning The "X" in "Xmas" symbolizes Jesus Christ, the Messiah, and the anointed one of God. History The early church used many symbols, including the fish and the cross, but "Xmas" is used less frequently by believers today. |
LOL. My vacuum cleaner is smarter than you. |
Because it is inclusive and everybody needs to be more inclusive; not less inclusive. Are you against inclusion or something? |
Its been pretty clearly stated that no one is offended by Merry Christmas, but is by Happy Holidays. So Merry Christmas is therefore more inclusive. |
I see you have lost the argument. |
