Who lives in Vienna?

This is closest to the truth. Lots of overextended climbers and the rest are middle class trying to make it.

Nope.

Vienna offers a kid friendly town center with monthly festivals, bike trails and walkability, as well as good schools. McLean has great schools, but lacks a true town center.

A fixer upper is pretty hard to find in Vienna these days.

Out of a total of 81 listings, there are 11 Vienna houses around a mil as of my current Zillow search. Not a ton of listings but good enough inventory wise.

Ah, you took the bait. Could tell that would happen eventually.

McLean has the McLean Community Center, the Old Firehouse Teen Center, McLean Day, and McLean youth sports. Basically the same types of community-oriented facilities and activities as Vienna, despite not being a separate town.

I grew up in Vienna and still live here. It’s a nice area. There are social climbers and snotty rich lawyers or doctors and there are also down to earth normal kind people. It’s fairly safe although crime from Tyson’s is starting to increase and expand into the nice quiet streets of Vienna. Our mayor is obviously a Democrat that isn’t worried about a casino.

Did anyone go to McLean winter fest today? I couldn’t make it out due to the baby.

She's a republican and she and the town board did not and still do not support a casino. Sure you live in the town? Maybe attend a meeting and meet the people.

What crime? If you read the weekly police activity report that the chief circulates, there’s virtually no violent crimes. All of their arrests are for public intoxication, DUI’s, and outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions. For a town of 4 square miles and a 40-officer police department, I would say it’s fairly safe.
